Robert Williams, Saxophone
Robert Williams is a Christian saxophonist whose soulful sound and expressive interpretations of hymns, worship songs and contemporary Christian music have touched thousands of listeners.
He plays Soprano, Alto, and Tenor saxophones and his diverse musical education and experience allow him to present both modern and traditional selections in an unique style.
Williams has an extensive background in classical music giving him a beautiful tone quality and control. He has a Bachelors Degree in music from the North Carolina School of the Arts, with a major in saxophone performance, and a Master's Degree from Appalachian State University. He has performed with the North Carolina Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, and the Savannah symphony, along with other orchestras. He has recorded solo albums of Christian, classical, and jazz music and played with the bands of Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, and Dinah Shore. Robert believes in using his God given talent to reach people for the Lord, and in his hands the saxophone is a worshipful, dignified, and meaningful instrument of praise.
