Stephen began studying the piano at age five, the violin at age eight, and the pipe organ at age thirteen. He began his first church position at thirteen as well and has has been actively involved with church music and weddings since that time. His degrees are in organ performance and church music. He has studied at Drake University, the Conservatoire de National Région in Paris, Baylor University and The Eastman School of Music. His organ teachers include Robert E. Scoggin, Carl Staplin, Guy Bovet, Marie-Claire Alain, Joyce Jones, and David Higgs. He has performed organ concerts throughout the United States and Europe in places such as Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Piccolo Spoleto Music Festival, St. Paul's Cathedral, Durham Cathedral and Coventry Cathedral in England, and St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin as well as in New York City. He has served in full-time music ministry in churches in Shreveport, Louisiana; Rochester, Minnesota; and Charleston, South Carolina. Stephen has worked closely with over 1,000 brides from all over the United States and Europe during the last 33 years! He has consulted and played the organ for them as well as helped guide all the various components that are integral in putting together a beautiful wedding ceremony.
